Hello Andrea,
Just a quick note to let you know that there's a yoga teacher in Hamilton, Ontario who shares your name! You may have already discovered me when choosing your domain name. Several of my students have found you when 'Googling' my studio and wondered if I once lived on the West Coast where I might have pursued art! I suppose one expression of my life's art is the teaching of movement.
The story of my name in a nutshell...my father is Hungarian and came to Canada in 1956 during the revolution. When he & my Mom were expecting me in the early '70s, they were anticipating a boy who they intended to call 'Andre'. When I arrived, they added an 'a', and pronounced my name with a soft 'A' (like Ondrea).
Your website & work are just fabulous, Andrea. I'm particularly fond of your lovemonkeys, and wonder if you do any 'custom' families....like one dad & 4 kids (3 boys and a girl, the youngest). It would be a lovely gift for a friend.
All the best with your teaching & art,
Andrea Soos

Beautiful and inspiring work!

I am looking for a workshop style class for my daughter and her friends to attend (age group is 12 - 13). Would they be allowed to participate in the trading card day or is this adult oriented?

Would you consider leading a class of some kind for this artistically inclined group? They want to create something functional or amazing. (Small pieces of art, they love using Staedtler(sp) felt pens, cutting paper designs, drawing and painting. The mirror work appealed to me. Help! Want to keep them going. It could be a group of 10 or so, if that is what would allow you to host a class. I don't know the logistics from your end (ie: time, location, etc.) but just thought I'd ask. Thank you!

I love the big heads. Especially the monkey - too cute! I want to draw large head children but its harder than I thought to get something that really hits the mark. Good work.

I too have been printmaking for several years now and I find myself to be extremely fond of linoleum prints.

I especially like your birdatc2 print. When I look at it I envision reversal of roles. The "traditional" stamp has become the focal point whereas the relief stamp has sort of taken the place of the traditional stamp. It's quite beautiful really how you were able to blend the two elements together.

The esty prints have amazing details with the texture from the printed surface.

I consider myself fortunate to have found your blog. Well done I say! Thank you for sharing your passion for relief prints with a fellow relief print enthusiast.
